Basking Bobtails – Kanyana

Designed to be family friendly, this workshop will enable participants to learn about bobtail ecology, what food bobtails like to eat and how to attract bobtails to your garden.

Find out about bobtail flu and what to do if you find a sick or injured bobtail. There will be an opportunity to meet a bobtail up close.

Healthy Birds, Healthy Garden Belmont

Presented by the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Darling Range Branch of WA Naturalists' Club, this workshop will leave you inspired by the birds in your garden. Suitable for adults and may be suitable for interested children 12 years or over.

Find out how to identify the birds in your garden and their calls, how to attract birds to your garden, how to use birdbaths, bird perches and bird boxes, and more. See many excellent photographs of birds, videos of birds so you can practise identifying them, and learn how to use Michael Morcombe’s “Birds of Australia” App to help identify birds and their calls wherever you go in Australia. Morning tea will be provided.
